Santa knows The Naughty Nutritionist® is a sucker for anything that might help us live long, lustily, wisely and well. Because many of you have asked me what Santa should bring you this holiday season, I’ve been making you a list and checking it twice. Let me know in the comments below whether you find it naughty or nice.

VitaClay might be the “healthiest cookware ever” and I can’t argue with that claim. What I know for sure is it’s a fail-proof way to cook soups, stews and other foods to perfection. Slow cooking in clay brings out the robust flavors of “real foods” and preserves their textures. Because clay is alkaline, it even sweetens highly acidic foods like tomatoes. Best of all, it’s been tested and shown free of lead, aluminum and other toxic metals.

VitaClay products combine traditional clay pot cooking with the modern convenience of electric slow cookers. These products are programmable and sit on your kitchen countertop. The Stock and Crock model’s “soup-er” for broth, soups, stews and sauces made with plenty of liquid. The Rice Cooker/Slow Cooker is the one to get if you plan to not only to make soup but also pot roasts, rice, oatmeal and other grains. Click here to learn more.

What’s more important than food? Water, and though an advanced filtration system is a good start, it’s not enough. Gerald Pollack, PhD, of the University of Washington, Seattle, has done impressive research on the energy of water and how structuring water increases its healing power exponentially. I’ve heard him speak several times and am totally convinced. He doesn’t recommend a specific brand, but my research led me to buy two products from Structured Water Unit.

I had the “dynamically enhanced” whole house model installed easily and inexpensively by my plumber and I’ve noticed a big difference in the quality of my baths and showers. As for the “dynamically enhanced” portable unit, I like to take it when I travel. I was afraid that it might draw unwanted attention from airline security, but TSA hasn’t looked askance at it even once. What a blessing to be able to optimize the bottled waters we find at airports and hotels. Click here to learn more about the many reasons to structure your water.

Santa’s going to have a hard time getting this one down the chimney, but not all sauna models need a lot of space. I personally use my Clearlight Sauna several times a week — whenever I want some relaxation or a healthy nap in the middle of my day. It offers near, mid and far infrared heat plus chromotherapy and is my favorite tool for detoxification. No green juices needed, though take care to stay well hydrated during and after your sauna with good quality structured water. Why an infrared sauna? Infrared heat is like sunlight in that it penetrates deeply into our joints, muscles and tissues to increase oxygen flow and improve circulation. It help remove waste, toxic metals and other impurities from our cells.  Take a look at the models here.

The late Louise Hay first told me about AnnMarie’s skincare products and I cannot begin to tell you how much I love them. Expensive, yes, but, hey, I’m worth it . . . and so are YOU. My favorites are the Anti-Aging Serum and Facial Oil. The smells are divine so using them not only improves my skin but elevates my mood. Win/Win. Click here to get the introductory sample kit. I’ve been cooking from scratch ever since I was a naughty little girl messing up my mom’s kitchen. So the last thing I thought I’d need was help planning, shopping and cooking. I was SO WRONG. Time is money, and the 20Dishes folks are saving me at least four hours a week, not to mention saving money now that I use up my groceries and hardly anything ends up rotting in the back of my frig. Friends who are more ambitious cooks than I am are saving even more time, and we all report we’re tempted to eat out less. Whether your diet is paleo, keto, gluten-free or whatever, 20Dishes has you covered. Click here to try it for seven days free.

I first tried Dry Farms Wines at Paleo f(x) and was impressed with the quality from the first sip. But what really sold me was sleeping well and feeling great the next morning. If you’ve given up wine because it was throwing off your sleep patterns, giving you headaches or morning hangovers, I understand. I gave up wine myself for those reasons.

Luckily, Dry Farms Wines offers the solution. Mark Sisson calls it the “perfect paleo wine,” Dominic DAgostino assures us it “won’t kick you out of ketosis” and Robb Wolf says “ If you enjoy wine but are not jazzed about the negative side effects, these wines are for you.” Dry Farms Wines are lab tested for purity, handcrafted, organic and additive free.  I so enjoy being able to drink wine again.

I gave up junk food decades ago, but only recently learned about the dangers of junk light.  I recently purchased a set of red and yellow glasses from TrueDark and it’s one of my best purchases ever.  The yellow glasses greatly reduce the stress, fatigue and crankiness I tend to feel in airports, conference centers, malls and other public spaces.  And they look cool too!  The red ones help me wind down in the evening so I can get a restful night’s sleep. I wore them on three recent plane trips and can report that they not only greatly reduced the stress but helped me get in some quality naps.   Click here to learn more.
